After graduating with a degree in Psychology and Communications from one of the top 3 Universities in the Philippines, I moved to Los Angeles to pursue my passion for the entertainment industry. I earned a spot in the professional scholarship program at EDGE Performing Arts Center, and soon after, started working in the business.
Over the years, I’ve performed in music videos, commercials, and print ads for brands like Pepsi, K-Swiss, LG, Arena Swimwear just to name a few. My credits include TV shows and live performances for CBS, VH1, and Disney’s Aladdin: A Musical Spectacular at California Adventure. I’ve danced in international productions like Samsung’s presentation at the World Expo in Korea, performed as an aerialist in Switzerland for Music on Ice, and took on the role of Rocket Raccoon in Marvel Universe Live on their US tour at sold out stadium shows. From industrials for L’Oreal, Avon, Mary Kay to major stage shows and beyond, entertainment has taken me on an incredible journey around the world.
Entrepreneur:
My entrepreneurial journey started with a big challenge—nearly $100K in debt. My husband and I worked hard, paid it off, and saved enough to purchase our first multi-property home, which introduced me to the world of real estate. From there, we expanded our portfolio to include four more properties with 12 rental units, and also partnered with an investment company on a 256-unit apartment building.
Beyond real estate, I launched and managed an after-school dance program, building and training a team of 40 teachers who taught over 2,000 students across 60 schools in Los Angeles. The success of that program fueled my passion for combining creativity and business.
That passion led me to create Katz Keys & Company, an online piano studio that grew from zero to 75 students in just a year and a half. It’s been amazing to see students around the world experience personal growth through music, and this entrepreneurial venture is one that holds a special place for me.
Educator:
At the core of my work is mentorship and impact. With Katz Keys & Company, I’m focused on more than just teaching music—I’m helping kids develop life skills through the discipline and creativity that music fosters. I believe music is a powerful tool for building character, resilience, and confidence in children.
As a certified life coach through the Adventures in Wisdom Life Coaching Program for Kids™, I empower children to recognize their own greatness and harness the power of their thoughts. Through mindset coaching, I help kids build confidence, resilience, and self-leadership. The program takes the kids through 27 life skills such as goal-setting, how to say no to peer pressure, and how to take ownership of their actions.
My mission is to guide kids in shaping an extraordinary life where they can thrive and believe in their abilities, no matter what challenges come their way.
And I’ve found that the most effective way to do that is through storytelling and immersive music education.
When kids go through our program, our students develop the tangible skill of playing the piano and also become individuals who have a strong character, a deep purpose and immeasurable joy.
